About The Wild Jelly Creator!

How’s it splashin’?  Bobbie here. Welcome to my About Me page! It’s not all that great yet, but I hope to improve as I go. I wanted to start with a little bit about me before we get into the reason why I started all of this.
I am 35 years old, and I was born and raised in Oregon. I also lived in Washington State for a few years. My forever home is still being discovered, but for now I call Eastern Oregon my home. In my house it is me and my daughter Hayleigh, my Parents Pam and Chuck and my sister Kasey and her son Michael. There is also one doggo named Bear and one cat named Pika (pronounced: Peeka) I am a Disabled US Army Combat Veteran, a content creator and variety streamer on Twitch.tv, and a crafter trying to start a new business but failing, totally my fault, (I’ll get into that some other day). I love a lot of things, and don’t really dislike much. Here’s a few of my ‘Favorites’:
    • Color: ALL Shades of Green
    • Food: strawberries, chicken nuggets (anything chicken really), beef, Vanilla Ice cream. I could go on but then this would be a very long list!
    • Drink: Coffee and lemonade
    • Animal: Dogs, horses, frogs, jellyfish, wolves, eagles, just to name a few, but in general I LOVE ALL animals.
    • Topics: Harry Potter, Supernatural, anything history, cars (I’m not mechanically very knowledgeable, I just like talking about older cars). I have a lot of things that I prefer not to talk about. For example, you will never see me bring up politics, or religion here. I started this blog to keep myself accountable on my health and crafting journey, and to explain WHY it means so much to me. Not to argue with the world about my OPINIONS on something that I feel just divides us.

    When The World Closed!

As the entire world knows, 2020 was a whirlwind with the pandemic but, to me, 2020 really wasn’t much different than any other year. While my family does live with me and my daughter, they do not take care of me, they can’t control my health or bad habits, but they support me while I try to fix those bad habits. The only one that can fix my health and habits, is me, and I must WANT it, for me. Not for anyone else. While I do want to be healthier and have a healthier lifestyle so I can grow old and see my daughter grow up and start her family and have kids and go on adventures. I must want this for myself, or I will never achieve anything.
I’ve been heavy set for the last 13 years (since I was pregnant with my daughter) and my weight has always been an issue. I know I can’t use depression as an excuse but, it didn’t help. When I was pregnant, I had topped out at over 260lbs. I couldn’t stand the sight of myself, and I hated everything about me. I wanted to change, so I started eating less carbs, more protein, and taking 20 - 30 min walks to start with. After about 3 months I had lost a little under 15lbs, and I started doing 45 minutes to an hour walks instead. Six months later I was down to 245lbs.
Eventually I made it to my 225lb goal, but then I lost motivation after my diet and walks didn’t seem to help me lose weight anymore. I was stuck in a 225 -240 zone and couldn’t lose anything, and I couldn’t figure out why. Then Covid happened. I gained weight again and got back up to 245lbs. I hated myself for letting go again and giving up. I told myself that I was worthless and useless because I gave up and let my habits take back over me.

    Goals & The Future!

My goal is to get back to my pre-baby weight of around 145 lbs. Be able to walk longer and do more with my daughter and not be tired and exhausted all the time.
Being able to do more and live a much healthier and longer life is my goal, I want to be able to be around for a long time and see my daughter start her own family and have babies of her own! I want to be able to tell my future grandbabies all the crazy shit I did growing up, about the time I was in the Army, and after. I want to be able to have many more years on this earth.
